Dr. Dovey speaks to the Boston University News Service on realistic expectations for pregnancy from freezing eggs
A recent Boston University News Service article about considerations before freezing eggs, quoted University of Colorado Advanced Reproductive Medicine’s Dr. Serena Dovey. She encourages patients to be aware of the risks as well as the chance of success for pregnancy using frozen eggs. She does not discourage women postponing having a family and freezing their eggs, however she advocates for patients being well informed before making this decision.
“This is not something that women should look at as an insurance policy that will work 100 percent of the time,” says Dr. Dovey.
