5280 Names Dr. Ruben Alvero “Top Doctor”

Denver (September 5, 2012) — University of Colorado Advanced Reproductive Medicine is pleased to announce that Dr. Ruben Alvero has been named a “Top Doctor” in 2012 by 5280, one of Colorado’s largest local magazines.

“Top Doctors” are selected by their peers. For its 19th annual “Top Doctors” report, 5280 surveyed local doctors, asking them specialty by specialty which metro-area physicians they would trust to treat their own families.

Dr. Alvero was named as one of five top reproductive endocrinologists in the region.

Dr. Alvero serves as the Section Chief of University of Colorado Advanced Reproductive Medicine. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Alvero is trained in the use of the Da Vinci Robot and provides patients with a delicate and precise method of removing pelvic pathology and restoring normal anatomy. As a reproductive surgeon, Dr. Alvero offers the complete range of services necessary to treat reproductive anomalies and complex pelvic adhesive diseases associated with endometriosis or prior infection. He also uses the Da Vinci Robot to reverse previous tubal ligation.

Dr. Alvero’s clinical interests include infertility, polycystic ovary disease (PCOS), endometriosis, and reproductive surgery. He is fluent in Spanish.

Founded in 1983, 5280 is one of the largest local magazines in Colorado. It has a distribution of more than 85,000 copies per month. In 2012, 5280 received its sixth nomination for a National Magazine Award, the magazine industry’s equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize.
