WIFI Staff: Experts in Fertility & Fitness

WIFI (Wellness Interdisciplinary Fertility Initiative) provides patients with a lot of help—the best possible help to attain your goals of weight loss and pregnancy. The WIFI staff are experts in fertility medicine and research, scientific and behavioral aspects of weight loss, dietary structure, fitness and motivation.

WIFI Co-Directors

Dr. Alex PolotskyAlex Polotsky, MD

Dr. Alex Polotsky is a pioneer in understanding the obesity/infertility link, working with the NIH for the past nine years on the issue, and was the senior author on the first paper showing decreased success for obese men in assisted reproductive technology. Dr. Polotsky participates in multi-disciplinary clinical research networks devoted to improving clinical care of fertility patients, and is ideally suited to lead the efforts on the interface between obesity and fertility care. He is Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Obstetrics/Gynecology.

Dr. Holly WyattHolly Wyatt, MD

Dr. Holly R. Wyatt is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at the University of Colorado. Dr. Wyatt is currently a physician, clinical researcher and medical director at the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. She has extensive clinical experience in weight reduction using behavioral treatment, dietary therapy, physical activity interventions, weight loss medications and surgery.

Kim Gorman, weight management program director at the Anschutz Health and Wellness CenterKim Gorman, MS, RD

Kim Gorman is the weight management program director at the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center and is a passionate educator in the field of nutrition and fitness as it relates to weight management, sports nutrition, and family health. Her 20 years of experience has brought national speaking invitations, publication of over 40 weight management tools and resources for clinicians and vibrant outcomes with her clients.

Jacinda NicklasJacinda Mawson Nicklas, MD, MPH, MA

Dr. Jacinda Nicklas practices internal medicine, integrative medicine, and weight loss medicine. She received her MD from Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on women’s health, obesity, weight loss and disease prevention, and she specializes in weight control throughout the reproductive cycle, including pre-conception, pregnancy, postpartum and through menopause.
